The goal is to eliminate surprises and to see to it that both the
organization and the vendor have a clear understanding of the services
being provided, the expectations of how the vendor/consultant will
provide them, and how those services will be paid. We provide assistance
to your staff in vendor/consultant negotiations, making sure the
tough questions are asked, and answered, which can be the difference
between an effective resource and one that is merely tolerated.
Our periodic review process assures that the vendor consistently
meets your needs. In an engagement of any size, problems will arise
and a good vendor will fix them. We provide support to your organization
to ensure that periodic reviews occur and that new issues, which
are sure to arise, are addressed.
In functional groups, such as HR, it is not uncommon that the administrator
over a contract with a vendor is also the same person who has the
day-to-day working relationship with that vendor. Similar to the
cobbler’s children who have no shoes, the staff member may
not have time to successfully manage both the business and the program-implementation
relationship. Most of the time problems are resolved as part of
the process. However, when sticky issues do arise, we can assist
by managing the issue resolution within the context of the contract,
thereby leaving the successful program implementation and management
of the vendor to your staff. Your staff member manages effectively,
while we worry about the sticky business issues.
